Office 365 OneDrive Migration on the RCSJ Gloucester Campus

As part of the College’s transition from Rowan College Gloucester County (RCGC) to Rowan College South Jersey (RCSJ), the Division of Innovation & Technology will be migrating Office 365 accounts for both students and employees. This migration of accounts will occur beginning Friday, August 30, 2019, at 6:00 p.m. through September 2, 2019, 6:00 p.m. 

During this time, you will NOT be able to SIGN-IN to the following Office 365 resources.

  1. Access Office 365 Microsoft via the College Portal
  2. Access Office 365 through Microsoft
  3. Office 365 OneDrive Syncing to your device will stop
  4. Previously downloaded Microsoft Office software or Attempts to download Microsoft Office for the first time will be unavailable for a short period while the migration process completes as the new RCSJ Office 365 licensing is redeployed.

When the process is complete you will be able to access your RCSJ Office 365 resources with the following changes:

  1. Accessing Office 365 via the link on the College portal will resume working.
  2. Accessing Office 365 via Microsoft you will need to use your or email address and your College password as your login.
  3. Once the RCSJ Office 365 licensing is completed you can use downloaded copies of Office again by logging in to Office365 either through the Office 365 link on the College portal or at you will need to use your or email address and your College password as your login.
  4. You will need to take the following steps in order to reconnect and resync your RCSJ OneDrive to your device:


You may see one of the following errors when trying to access the OneDrive application from your personal computer.


NOTE: Sign In with Another Account Will not Work



  1. Unlink your OneDrive Account
    1. Right Click the One Drive Icon 
    2. Select “Settings
    3. In the account tab select “Unlink this PC
    4. Confirm by clicking “Unlink account” button. 
  2. Sign Back into OneDrive Using RCSJ email address

          a. Enter RCSJ email address 

                          Faculty/Staff  - USERNAME@RCSJ.EDU

                          Student - USERNAME@STUDENTS.RCSJ.EDU


    b. Click "Yes" on the warning page to continue.



    c. Confirm Directory Location



After the migration, you should see an error similar to these in the OneDrive mobile app.




In order to regain access to OneDrive on your mobile device, you will need to remove and then re-add your RCSJ account to it.

How to resolve

1. Remove the account

          a. In the OneDrive app tap the "ME" button


          b. Click the "Sign Out" button


   2. Re-add your RCSJ Account

       a. Enter your RCSJ email address       

                    Faculty/Staff  - USERNAME@RCSJ.EDU

                    Student - USERNAME@STUDENTS.RCSJ.EDU


       b. Enter your username and password


        You have finished re-adding your account.
